Recreational Vehicles, both new and old, are very comfortable ways to travel. They are comfortable going down the road, but they are also very comfortable to pull off the road and lay down in for awhile. One of the best parts about an RV is the amount of bed space that the different models come with. Here is a brief look at some of the different options available in different RVs.
Over The Cab Sleeper
Twin Or Full Bed
An over the cab sleeper is a bed, usually approximately a queen sized bed, that is tucked in a flat area that stretches out over the portion of the vehicle where the driver sits.
Suspended Bunk Beds
Different RVs utilize different forms of a suspended bunk bed system. Often these are single bunk beds that either mount to the wall or are suspended from the ceiling during the nighttime, but can be folded up or rolled up and stored away during the daytime.
Full Bunk Beds
Some RVs come with bunk beds that are permanently secured to the floor, usually in a rear bedroom. These are very popular with those traveling with children.
Full Sized Beds
Other types of beds that can also be found in either a rear bedroom, or a bedroom that expands thanks to a slide out floor plan, are full beds, two twin beds, a queen bed, or even a king sized bed.
Sleeper Sofas
It is not uncommon in some larger RVs for them to have a couch for more comfortable daytime sitting. Many times these couches fold out to reveal a bed tucked away inside.
Conversion Beds
Most often seen in the form of the dining table/booth, a conversion bed is something that acts as one purpose during the daytime (dining table), but can be broken down and folded into a bed when sleeping time has come. These are sometimes not standard sized beds due to the fact that they are made up of an odd shaped piece of furniture.
Inflatable Mattresses
For extra room, or just because the RV lacks the planned sleeping space that is needed, some owners use inflatable mattresses that will fit in the open areas of a floor plan. This allows for an extra bed when needed.
One of the biggest benefits an RV has is that there is enough space for the entire family to come along and be comfortable. Part of an RV's comfort is the amount of beds it offers, and which kinds they are. Most RVs provide more than enough ways for those that occupy them to get a good night sleep.
